Hi, I'm a server owner of a 900+ server of which I worked hard to reach that member count through something called partnerships. Partnerships are a mutual advertisement between servers- they have a partners channel, we have a partners channel; we post their server advertisement in our partners chanmel and they do the same for us.
Now, there's something called Partner Managers, Partner Managers get hired to get your server partnerships aswell, so that overall your total number of partnerships get stacked and your server gets more exposure.
Partner Managers have something called portals, essentially a portal is a place for partner managers to put all of the server ads for servers they're a Partner Manager in. It's a more organized way for server owners to partner with servers through Partner Managers who are a PM (Partner Manager) in multiple servers.
Now, PMs do something called massing which is as simple as this- partnering with multiple or even all of their servers at once. Here's where us server owners fall in the mix. We oftenly go to different portals to mass, sometimes in my case- if they are offline or clarify that partnerships/masses are closed I'll leave the portal and look for another portal. Sometimes we can't message inside of their portal, rather we have to DM them instead... now here's what I'm trying to get to.
There are many Partner Managers and server owners who get disabled for basically getting too many partnerships due to the process I explained earlier, including me. I've been disabled 3 times though each time I've been disabled, I was more careful than I was last time. Like instead of openly DMing people I had no message history with, I would friend them first. I was careful as to how often I left portals.. but of course I was disabled so that didn't work.
I know 3 different people who've gotten disabled multiple times for this mess. I get that you're trying to protect your community from bots, but what about us? The people who have a passion for advertising and growing their Discord servers, and mean literally no harm. Please find a way to stop getting many people who just want to help others (Partner Managers) or even themselves (server owners) I am enraged that my main account has been disabled for something so minor, and now instead of advertising and hanging with my members on it, I have to wait. This must be fixed please.
If any of you agree with me, please upvote this post. The Discord Developers MUST KNOW about this before it gets too far out of hand, and too many innocent people get disabled for something so minor.
