Discord always installs itself to appdata, is there really no installation path option available?

Why does the program install itself without allowing the option to choose the install directory? I want to install it do a different SSD than the one my operating system is on, is this possible to do manually? Everything seems to break when I try to move the files manually to a new folder, why does it force itself onto appdata folder??
