Discord now a BLM company?
Is this a threat of censorship? Does this mean we all have to support Black Lives Matter to be welcome here? A hate group for white people that bullies dissenters? If we disagree about these stated views concerning systematic racism and white supremacy what will you do to users? Censor them? Ban them? If you do will you let all who you agree with feel free to preach all they want? What does it mean Discord?
I want to defeat racism. The BLM way is not the way. They work against Martin Luther's King's dream. They are a devise group, not unifiers. They try to guilt trip and threaten people who have done nothing wrong to get money.
This is very disheartening. Please explain more if you have more to say about what this means.

Perhaps it's just one of those things that a company does for PR reasons to get a bullying political group like BLM off their backs. Either way people should not just stay quiet when companies do this, especially companies that can control and filter communications between people. There is a very real danger here of being silenced for being on a certain side of debate if social media companies bend the knee one by one.

me and my friends are cancelling our subscriptions due to discord forcing this movement on its users. discord is for gaming communities, why the hell would it not choose to remain neutral in politics. i have been with discord since it first came out, i've absolutely loved and supported the company up until this point, i am so disappointed by this.

Sadly gaming companies as big as Sony, Nintendo and Pokemon have ended up kissing the ring and bowing to the new religion of BLM. giving thousands directly to democrats and not being partisan. This might stay a standard in America, but the religious-style proselytizing should at least be restricted to that area, the same way Chinese propaganda messages are to their versions of Steam/B.Net.

Black Lives Matter (capital letters) is a political group that is affiliated with the Democratic party. If you try to donate on blacklivesmatter dot com, it takes you to actblue which basically ends up giving that money to Democrats running for office.
Racism is NOT acceptable. Hating people for something they cannot help, the color of their skin, will not be tolerated. If you hate White people just for being White, then YOU are racist.

This is getting out of control... Enough is enough, and im super glad a bunch of you all don't support this. Props to you for speaking out. I'm just about tired of all these companies making silly changes and statements about an isolated case. That was likely not even driven by racism.. sorry that theres a few bad cops out there!

So they name their movement "Black Lives Matter." A captain obvious statement that pretty much everyone agrees with even though there are no protest when a black person dies at the hands of black person, it's just an every day thing. Then they shoehorn these other very radical beliefs that The United States is corrupted by systemic racism and white supremacy that we need just tear it all down and start over. Not really having a system in mind they would replace it with, but we could imagine black people would get what they want and white people get the middle finger and it won't be better and we'd be set back in the progress we've made against racism by decades.
So then most of the people are like woah woah woah, I was with you up until Black Lives Matter. But since you know show yourself to disagree with any of that radical stuff you will be accused you don't believe black lives matter, and are a racist bigot that shouldn't have a voice.

Black Lives Matter is nothing more than a political entity.. They're a radical group who cares more about oppression & separation- than actually trying solve issues; If any group uses political power and threats to gain support, then it's not worth supporting. The team at discord need to do some research on this group, and not give into threats.

I reported a white supremacist who had a blackface avatar and was being very racist in chat every day, I included mountains of evidence.
They ignored me for 2 weeks and ended up doing nothing.

BLM's justification of burning down buildings, stealing, harassment, assault and intimidation just to get money so they fund it to democrats seems like they are using unlawful violence and intimidation especially towards civilians for political points, exactly what a terrorist is. This leads me to believe that Discord is in favor of terrorism done by a party that has terrorized the United States for 7 whole years while claiming it to be a fight against racism, police brutality, and white supremacy when after all they have been taking advantage of the deaths of innocent African Americans just to get money to send to democrats. I am out here being called a bootlicker when Discord and a lot of other people are bootlicking the hell out of a terrorist organization. Discord, this isnt right. This is a move of aggression towards me and anyone who has had to deal with being harassed by these BLM supporters. Discord is a place for games and chatting, it isnt so we all lick the boot of a terrorist organization. By me saying this I feel as if Im going to be banned for speaking out against something I dont find right, if that does happen that would be silencing my 1st Ammendment Right which is exactly what BLM does.

here's my opinion, i support a part of blm meaning stop police brutality because it is a real thing that needs to be stopped, i don't like that there destroying shit akka the raiders because it puts a bad look on blm, but there is really nice people in blm, also blm doesn't mean only black lives matter it means we matter to!!!, but also there is a lot of racism on discord there's many white people saying the n slur, as a african american girl i find it hurtful that non african americans say the n word then me! and i've never really said the n word tbh, so i find it strange white people on discord are saying the hard r slur like its nothing, so i say discord going blm isn't that much of a bad idea, but they shouldn't force in on users because its a very sensitive opinion, they should lay this lightly on their users,(this is just an opinion don't say anything hurtful just say an opinion it's childish to go that way) also there is really toxic blm people i totally agree!!,
