The new inbox feature is detrimental to communities
I wanted to have a moan about the new inbox feature and how it includes literally all messages sent in all servers you're in that are unmuted, it renders it fairly useless and will only encourage more people to hit "mute server" when they otherwise wouldn't have. That just hurts communities, we already struggle with a battle of trying to prevent new community members from rushing to mute places so we can engage and build upon them. If users mute a community as soon as they join it there is very little hope of engaging that user ever again after day 1 if they're not engaged in that very first interaction.
Discord is seemingly moving further and further away from its original guild and gaming community focus. It feels like it is becoming more and more out of touch with the struggles of being a leader of a community within a chat-based environment. Discord is making it harder and harder for us to grow and build these communities.

+1; i appreciate the ability to quickly check new @, but we already have notifs on the sidebar for new messages, anyway. we don't need the same feature in a second place, and especially for servers, of all areas (many of which gain hundreds or thousands of new messages per hour - if we want to read those, we're not going to do it in a pane 30% the original size of the screen)!
at the very least, give us the option to disable it in our personal settings.

Honestly please just bring back the @ button like that was actually useful and i would have no problem with the inbox if it did not replace the @ button it makes moding discords and just seeing when you have been @tted when you get to them late impossible to find I usually like discord updates but this is a clear step backwards
