    Just type

    \:YourEmoji:

    (Backslash not Slash)

    Won't work with default emojis tho, you will only get the "raw" emoji.

    For those of you just as confused as I was because of unclear instructions, here's what you do to find an emoji ID:

    1. open the guild that has the emoji
    2. In the Message box, type a backslash, and then :emoji_name:
    3. you should now see \:emoji_name: in the message box
    4. send the message
    5. The message you sent will now say "<:emoji_name:xxxxxxxx> (or however many numbers there are)

    Hope this helps!

    For default emojis, you can copy and paste it right away without getting the emoji id.

    In case of not having nitro, how can I know the ID of an animated emoticon to add it to a webhook?

    I managed to catch a glimpse of an animated emote's ID. It disappears and reverts to its raw name near-instant, but if you can screen record and freeze frame right on that point, you'll have the ID.
