Please add voice messaging to Discord (Note: this is different to real-time voice chat).

There are many requests in this feedback area for voice messaging to be a feature of Discord, and several more closed ones from a year or more ago. Why is there no movement on this request?

To be clear, voice messaging would involve the recording and sending of a voice clip (typically using a PTT bind), which can be listened to by recipients at a later time. This is very different to voice chat.

    I would like something like this. I am trying tk get some of my close family members to try discord for better communication. They are used to the feature that watsapp provides where you leave a voice clip for later. It helps them better interoperate the tone of a message since they aren't used to being on the internet. And they can get to it on their own time.
