Call Recording

In servers, it would be great if there is an option to record a channel.

For privacy, everyone in that channel will be immediately deafened and a banner would show, alerting users that they are being recorded.

The users will have to accept that they are being recorded, in order to unmute.

This feature would be great for YouTubers, conferences, virtual classrooms and many more!

The person who started the recording, is then able to download it.

    This would be really useful.

    I notice that most other video chat services allow recording - although they seem to all have the same defect that makes it less suitable for my purposes. Instead of offering a small number of layouts to choose from, I'd rather have the option to download all the streams of consenting participants; whether available for a limited time afterwards, or automatically dumped to Google Drive or similar.

    I assume each member of a chat would have to click something to agree before video/audio of them can be saved; but that shouldn't be too hard to implement. This is a feature I'd be happy to pay for, if anyone offered it.

    Just convinced my workplace to switch from Zoom to Discord and this is the only function Discord is lacking. Recording a session would be incredibly useful!
