Bro, You can use Google drive or another file share website, then upload the presentation on that and share the link with you friends :)

Thanks, but I need to control the slides myself, and I also know Google Slides doesn't do a good job converting PowerPoint slides.

If you're using the latest Office version, you are able to create a broadcast presentation and share that link with people.

Thanks for the tip. It's a good workaround, but I still want Discord to simply support PowerPoint.

Just out of curiosity, what's the difference between sharing a PowerPoint and sharing your screen?

Did you mean the difference between broadcasting PP and sharing it on Discord?
The former shows my Microsoft account name.

Sharing a PowerPoint might capture the audio, but sharing your screen doesn't.

    1. simply change entry in Registry Editor. CMD >> regedit.
    2. then navigate to. Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities\
    3. change key "FriendlyName" to whatever you like."
it works great and helps me :D

It is difficult to advocate Discord for professional organizations when the Microsoft PowerPoint Application does not correctly screen share.  Walking presenters through multiple work arounds to share a basic professional tool does not instill confidence in Discord as a tool.

    10 min later Edit:
Looks like Discord will share a PowerPoint when in Presentation Mode and not when it is in Editing mode. It's a hassle when trying to collaboratively work together, but at least presentations don't need to be PDF'd and imported to an internet browser every time!

I had this kind of problem. But to solve it I had to turn to the slidepeak experts and then the slides in my presentation got better. Their presentation software is designed to make creating professional presentations easier and more efficient. I hope this will be useful to you.
