Slow mode
Hello!
Here's the thing. There is a beautiful slow mode in discord.
Even now, I write slowly. It works!
However! There are channels where slow mode is not relevant or necessary. But from time to time there are users who start "spamming" in the chat (write very quickly on one line of two or three words). Many people do not like it, but every time you issue a warning, this is your job. And putting a slow mode on the entire chat, all participants, will be very ugly.
We would like to see in the channel's access rights settings, a slow mode that can be enabled for an individual user (or role) in the channel, rather than for all chat users.
This is a very exciting idea and I am sure that many administrators of various large disk servers will appreciate this opportunity.

This would definitely be nice. I hate the idea of punishing an entire chat just because one person is being a problem. I also like that you mention having it by individual user or role. It'd be nice to have punishment roles. Like you can assign a person to a punishment role for a set time and it'll take away their permissions for different things, turn on slow mode, and so on. After the set time they'll get returned to their original role.
I actually wonder if a bot could do something like this.. but it'd be nice for it to be just in Discord since more moderation options are always better.

I came here to post similar ideas:
- In managing slow mode, it would be nice to allow some roles to be completely exempt from slow mode on any channel (other than admin).
- And for a complementary idea, auto-applying a slow role (across all channels) for users who spam on the server in a single channel (or across channels) by count or identical content within a count per configured time threshold (in seconds). Server also auto-removes the slow role after a configured amount of time. If user violates again within a configured cooldown period, then applying a second level slow role (applying across all channels). Server again also auto-removes it after configured amount of time. If user violates again within a configured (likely longer) cooldown period, user receives third level slow down role (applying across all channels). This role is only removable by admin.
