Please create an option to receive notifications for only direct messages

Seeing a red badge and/or orange flashes constantly on my taskbar is anxiety-inducing, but disabling badge notifications makes it easier to forget (read: accidentally ignore) unread DMs after the desktop notification goes away. I'd appreciate it if you could split server notifications from DM notifications in user settings so I can set my priorities appropriately.

    You could just mute servers and you won't get notifications from them. You'll still get notifications from DMs and anything you haven't muted. Also, you can turn off the desktop notifications in the bottom corner. I did that and it's so much nicer.. Now I just have discord gain a badge whenever there's a notification. The circle for a server notification and number for DMs.
