Don't allow pinging yourself

On a server my name contains "ever" so when I type @ever it pings me instead of @Everyone. I can't think of a reason for someone to ping themselves

    just write every or eve. Your argument is not a valid reason to change it

    In my server (Since i'm the owner), I ping myself so other members can DM me any problems. Just right clicking that will make it so they'll get access to my DMs instantly, rather than having to find me on the leaderboard.
