Text highlighting glitch

This may be a slight nitpick, but i use a certain trick ALL the time when making lists, because i'm a bit forgetful, and place things in the wrong order. I highlight an entire line + the "newline" or "/n" character before it, so i can cut & paste it into any part of the list i want, but that just isn't possible with Discord.

To clarify, when i click & drag inside a "compose/edit message" from the right side of a line to the right of another above it, it would show the correct lines + a little space after the previous lines highlighted, but when releasing the mouse, it auto-highlights both entire lines. https://i.imgur.com/daAos0G.png This is what it should look like, but this is while holding the mouse button. Upon release, both lines are highlighted.

This is especially annoying, because it only happens in Discord. It's really annoying to deal with when trying to edit & reorder rules, and also when deleting lines of a message that uses the /n character

Idk if this is a bug or a feature, but it's annoying and i don't wanna have to open notepad, paste it in, do my edits, paste it to discord, realize i forgot something, paste it back to notepad, do the proper edits then paste it back into discord only to realize one of your admins did the edits for you and nothing you did mattered in the first place because of this one stupid interaction!!!
