Discord stuck updating into an endless loop.
I tried everything honestly, I tried to rename the update thing in Discord at the %localappdata%. I also tried to fully reinstall Discord, which also means trying to delete the remnants of Discord in the registry. I also system restored just to see if it would fix it too (it was only 2 days worth). Nothing worked. Can someone please tell me an alternative way to fix this infinite updating loop.

I'm having the same problem.
I have uninstalled it, rebooted, cleaned registry, ran as admin, deleted files manually, killed processes, disabled AV... I've followed lots of "how-tos" on deleting %localappdata% and other directories, reg entries, etc over and over again.
Every once in a while, discord actually works. 90% of the time it ends up in an update loop.
Any plans to fix this widespread, frustrating issue? I'm ready to give up.

I also have this issue, it says "checking for updates" then "downloading update 1/2" "downloading update 2/2" "installing update 1/2" "installing update 2/2" "checking for updates"... so on so forth...
So now i can't use the desktop app at all and can only use website version wich is very annoying because it doesnt automatically read the messages when ive seen them, so i gotta type something or gotta click "mark as read" everytime...
Discord, please fix both of those issues...
(Yes i've tried reinstalling and stuff but it still update loops infinitely...)

I honestly dont know how to fix the problem. On my old computer it randomly fixed itself, but now I have a new computer and Discord perfectly works.
