How to fix the 2000 character limit

A lot of people have already said this before.

I think the best solution is if the message is greater than 2000 characters, add a "show more" button. I'm sure lots of other people have already thought about this before.

  this would be great
  or have it so servers can enable 2000+ character limits on certain chats, especially private discords or discords where people type up their own large suggestions for things

  I think this is almost definitely a limitation of Discord's Cassandra databse. Almost definitely a technological reason, not a chat pollution reason.
