    Hello,
    Thank you for your reply,
The hardware acceleration was turned on.
I turned it off but I didn't see any change.
I'll have a look at your post.

    Cheers

    Hello,
    apologies for the late answer.
I've tried a clean reinstall of the app twice, I installed the latest version, but I still have this issue.
I usually use discord for half a hour in a video call with 5 other people, could the issue related to this?
Does anyone know if this issue is related to the Ubuntu OS or to my laptop hardware or to the GPU?

    Thanks in advance
    Regards

    Hello,

I am having the same issue on both of my laptops running Ubuntu 18.04.

The first one has a GTX 965m and i7 4720HQ, and has the problem when running the Nvidia drivers, both when selecting integrated and discrete graphics.

The second laptop has The second one has an i7 10850H, and has not had the Nvidia drivers installed. It is just using the stock Nouveau drivers.

What's interesting is that both laptops also have the same high cpu usage problem with Zoom. Combined with the fact that problem only appears the moment I join calls, and immediately goes away once I leave calls, makes me think that it seems like the problem has to do with some resource used by both?
