Discord new Profile Customisations
Apparently, there has been a new update that is being pushed up to Discord but currently it is in beta progress. It is the new Profile Customisations update (About me status & Banners). But it is not public to everyone as I mentioned it is in the beta progress. I believe that it is currently accessable randomly by anyone who has Discord Nitro. The "About me" status is basically an introduction to yourself that gives the user a way to express themselves instead of having to do that in their status. Now they have all space they need to express themselves and their hobbies, contents and etc. The banners are accessable to anyone I believe. But there are more perks for Nitro users. For anyone that doesn't have nitro they will get a custom made banners by Discord that has solid colors. And they cannot choose any custom banner from their Downloads. For Discord classic, they can select a custom banner from their Downloads and upload it to Discord. But they cannot have it animated or a GIF file. For Discord Nitro users, they can use custom banners that can be animated and can be a GIF file. That's pretty much the update.
If you wonder how to access it, you kind of have to win some sort of like a lottery. Discord gives the features to anyone randomly that has Discord Nitro. You just have to wait I guess. But you can increase your chances slightly a bit by downloading the Discord canary version, Discord Development and Discord PTB versions. You can find all of those links on google.
So far that is all what I know about the update. Let me know if I missed something or made a mistake in something. Thanks for reading this.
Credits to this post it has a lot of information that you may find useful too: Profile Banners – Discord

It would be great if people with nitro classics could also banner their profile (sorry if sentence grammar is bad)

The banner feature is actually publicly available on the desktop app version of discord - it's not in beta anymore unless you're a mobile user
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can access the options on the web version too1
