\@everyone still changes the background colour of a message as if it mentioned you

The symbol "\" should be used to prevent functions from happening, like keeping "*" without suddenly writing everything in cursive, bold or cursive bold.
The same should apply to @, and it does prevent some functions related to it like notifications or making it interactive, but the background colour change still happens.
