Voice cutting in and out only in Discord

Started up discord today and my voice is constantly cutting in and out with Push to talk or Voice activity. None of the settings make a difference, reinstallation doesn't matter. It's only like this in discord and nothing else, every other program or game that records my voice comes through 100% clear. I fixed this problem months ago by turning echo cancellation off but that setting is still off and the problem popped up. It was completely fine yesterday

    Discord replied to my ticket saying known issue when using Bluetooth, they will only invest in development of they get enough votes here for it.

    I don't use Bluetooth but I had some friends of mine replicate the problem I was experiencing. It's apparently a problem with the "Mic test" feature discord has. It will cut in and out if things are said too quickly or if the mic is fed constant noise. It doesn't translate over to discord calls or channels etc.
