Less drama than blocking: Mute function please

Blocking a user in discord can cause drama given it’s really easy for them to realize you’ve blocked them. Sometimes I just want to not have to read someone’s posts, I don’t actually care about them being able to interact with mine. So can we just have a mute function along with a full on block?

Edit in response to Celeron: the mute function I am suggesting refers to text chat, not voice.
