Jumping through hoops to become a member.
Tried becoming a new member. Too many hoops to jump through. First select user name and password. Then wants email to send you an acknowledgment, which you have to reply too. Fine. Then if that wasn't enough, it requests my phone number to send me a text message authorization. I use a land line without texting capabilities. Don't need anything else. You should send your security info via email OR text (user choice), but NOT BOTH. Why all the ridiculous hoops to jump through just to join? It's essentially just a chat site. My bank and investment firms don't even have that level of stuff. On top of that, I sent a customer service request over this and all I got back was a generic "thanks for checking out Discord" message. What I expected is some sort of resolution.

Your bank doesn't require any kind of identity verification?

Very rarely. Then they use email, which is my point. I don't use text messaging so they give me the option in their email of an audible access code over the phone.
