Trying to watch a Stream, and it kicks the streamer off (UPDATE only happens with IPAD streams)
So this is the first time this has happened for me. I have tried to watch a friend stream on a few different occasions and it kicks their stream off every time I try to watch.
Not sure why this happens, I can't really find any other information on this happening for other people either.
Working on a Windows 10 PC currently.

I still haven't figured out fully what is happening - but I have pin pointed it down to specifically streamers sharing their Ipad streams.
Like they are drawing on Procreate or something on their Ipad - any time I click "Watch" their stream shuts off..
I even attempted it between my own Ipad and PC desktop.
From the Ipad's end it receives an error: Live Broadcast to Discord has stopped due to: Attempted to start an invalid broadcast session.
And that will happen every time I try to watch the stream from my PC desktop.0 -
i have this problem too and it is bizarre. One of the only things I can think of is distance... I'm in central Canada and trying to watch iPhone streamers in eastern USA.

Update: I was just looking around for solutions and found someone who got the answer for me at least.
Go to Voice & Video
enable "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc."

Ahh Just tried that - no luck. For me, it can't be distance since I am trying with my own IpadPro and my desktop on two different accounts.
I noticed my friend's gaming computer will kick off the Ipad on the stream too.
Discord customer service told me to disable the OpenH264 - but that didn't affect it either.
They eventually told me to try out their beta versions of Canary? (I haven't done any of this yet, but will report back)
I have tried a uninstall reinstall - nothing there either.
It is weird that my buddy's computer is doing the same thing. Makes me want to test it with a few other people now.0 -
I got the exact same problem too, but on iphone11. Sheesh this is so frustrating. I was streaming alone in the room and it’s going fine but then when someone tryna reach in it suddenly kicked me out and leave the ‘live broadcast to discord has stopped due to: Attempted to start an invalid broadcast session’
I’m here if there’re some update about this problem. I have tried shutdown, restart, and reinstall but nothing works .____.0 -
I can’t share screen broadcast on my iPad 6th gen for quite a while now. It can still start broadcasting but no one can watch the stream. When someone clicked on the stream, discord suddenly kicked me out.

I am currently having this problem as well. I am trying to share my screen using my iPad 6, however it ends whenever anybody joins it.
I sent a report on the problem, hopefully they will see that as well as this thread soon! I want to show people my art process :,)

I am also on an apple iPad, and guess what, it stops screen sharing when someone joins. But, I made a discovery. My friend was able to join my screen on his apple iPad but when my other friend tried to on his computer, it crashed the stream. So I think when an apple product mixes with a different one, it glitches and stops the stream.
Message to Discord: This is a very annoying glitch and makes me want to stop using this app I’ve loved and used for years on end, please fix it so I can stream to my friends.0
