Channel Role Settings

I have an issue with my moderators overlapping roles that do not show in channel. The problem is I have moderator roles for certain channels and event and a few of the names overlap with mod roles. In the channel it shows them as the highest possible mod role. So it never shows that they are mods for the current channel as well. Ive tried to have the role with no permissions and banned from channel but due to the way the permissions system works both roles still show up. Is it possible to be able to not show a certain role in a channel?
