Default Thread Permissions to "Off" among other things
Simple request.
Please make it so Thread permissions default to OFF in all servers. It's a fine enough feature but it has unlimited potential to become a griefing tool with its current implementation.
Also, please separate the "Use public threads" and "Send Messages" permissions from the "Create public threads" permission. Again, this has unlimited griefing potential as it is, and I imagine that most larger servers will disable threads entirely until this is corrected.
Threads are a good idea and we want them to succeed, but please be careful with this kind of implementation. Giving normal users the power to create pseudo-channels infinitely is reckless and could damage communities more than it helps them.

Second This,
Send Messages should not be dependent on the use of threads. Create, Public, Private threads should be separate threads, also, Private threads will already be private once you have a private group. Although this may just be something I am missing the purpose of.

Yeah, I literally had someone bypass a bunch of filters of slurs in a server I mod for with threads and people were just mass creating them causing spam in the chat. Def needs this.

I'm a server moderator, and at this time I cannot see threads at all. After some experimentation, we've determined I can get into a thread if and only another member @s me and I click the push notif that pops up on my phone. if I leave the thread it ceases to exist for me. I can still see the recent activity indicator for the server, but not the channel, and I can see the red number message indicator, but can't reach the message itself if i missed the initial push notif.
I don't know why threads haven't rolled out to me, and maybe this will be fixed with a quick software update, but even a brief and temporary inability to see user activity could be a serious problem for a lot of mods.

the @everyone role is set with both the thread related perms to active as soon as you activate the threads integration, make sure to remove these two perms from the @everyone role to avoid letting anyone in your server be able to create threads and use this as a means of bypassing filters via thread titles

In addition, the permission doesn't work with "Read Chat history" which should work only between those who have access to the thread, and they can't create at thread. So clearly there are some permission problems here.
