Please remove the boost barrier behind creating private threads!
You create opportunities for growth but then you decimate them by putting basic functionality behind a boost barrier.... Private threads are not only good for moderation purposes, but they can also help limit the discussion to only a certain amount of people. i.e: Aaron makes a suggestion and two staff members who handle that particular part of the community ONLY want to talk to Aaron in private without going off the server or making additional channels. It allows the entire team to update themselves on the discussion and any overhead. Endless possibilities and reasons for PRIVATE THREADS to not be behind a PAYWALL.

This should be a base feature, and it absolutely is not worth 15 boosts. Sure, let the longer archive times be apart of the the boosts, but don't hide a massively useful feature behind a paywall. This problem is amplified by the fact in the information box when enabling threads, it says they could be used for support purposes. I do not want my support to be public, because a number of support issues require it to be a private conversation. In the end, if it's locked behind a paywall, I'm just going to continue using my support ticket bot which does the exact same thing, but private for free. I'd much rather use built in features where possible, but just because I don't have a big enough community at this time, I don't get to use this feature.

I also agree that the private function should be baseline or at least level 1 boosting.
I have a small server of around 10 friends and we would love to be able to make private threads for setting up things like surprise birthday presents or organizing some conversations between just a few members instead of creating different combinations of groups for different topics with different friends, all flooding and getting lost in the conversation list instead of being easily accessible with a feature already implemented.
Please consider the smaller communities.

I also agree with all of the posts above! Bump! I even think it should be a base feature tbh. It would help so much with moderation purposes.
And as a bot developer, I would like to use this functionality, but it doesn't seem like I can even test it if I wanted to.1 -
I agree with this, all of the other boost perks are nice to haves and this is a basic feature of threads - why are private text channels not a boosted feature but this is?
This feels like the start of a slippery slope to a lot more features being unnecessarily pay-walled.
