Add end to end encryption (E2E) [Voice and Text]

Please consider adding / implenenting (E2E) End-to-End Encryption

Hello!

I am a 3 to 4 year Discord user and as of that I haven't been much aware of the various reviews / requests fellow Discord users have made regarding Privacy and as of that i wish to explain a thing or two and i will let Discord themselves consider this suggestion which has been brought up by many / suggested by many.

Many of you might be wondering! what is End-To-End Encryption (E2E) and i will explain it below in the simplest of ways i possibly can: End-to-end encryption is a form of communication where only whoever you may be speaking to can read the message you are sending them, and vise-versa. Without E2E your messages, files of any sort can be accessible by the company (Discord in this case) freely, without notice. Countries, Governments and other third-parties might want a piece of your data; but as a Discord user yourself you are limited to what Data discord may collect from you.

What's my point?

My point is that Privacy itself is a human right and as of that i believe Discord itself, Not only to safegaurd user's data from governments and third-parties but to also thrive as a "safe" place to be, The platform should now as of it's growth - Start considering adding E2E, Many companies who failed to do so or claimed they do got a bad reputation. And to be frank; I love Discord a lot! but i personally feel as if Privacy & Security as a whole should take another step in how users access / interact discord every day. Encryption should be an option in which a user can enable or disable or automatically have by default in either Voice,Text or Video

    Features like this are some of the only ones preventing about 250k privacy folks (using the signups on Keybase as an estimate) from using Discord full time.

    Agree 100%, and would add for the admins that this should be a two part solution. Whatever the case, arguably E2E for text is the easiest to implement short term, and also counters the most severe current threat. A guy with a $20 antenna can see everything sent within range.
