Let Threads be muted like channels
Currently, threads act as optional 'sub-channels' to a normal channel. They have their own notification settings, their own place in the channel list for threads you've joined, and generally have their own settings.
However, they don't seem to have their own mute setting. I cannot mute a thread separately from its parent channel, and if I mute a channel, that mutes the thread as well.
With the other aspects of threads that make them like temporary sub-channels, there should be a setting for threads to be muted (on a temporary or permanent basis) similarly to channels. Whether this makes the channel act the way a category does (where muting the channel mutes all threads) or simply have threads act like individual channels (muting the channel does not mute the thread), there should at least be an option to mute threads individually.

A dev on reddit said that the individual mute feature will be shipped mid August.

I also think that the same is true for notification settings (all, mentions only, nothing).
