Call quality on Android relatively low

As Discord voicechats are managed as "calls" by the Android OS, the quality decreases significantly in comparison to VCs on desktop or iOS. Other members in the VC cannot be properly understood this way. It would be really helpful if VCs on the Discord App would either be regarded as app-sounds (so the quality can be compared to the usual apps, like for example YouTube or Spotify) or if the calls would switch to the HD standard, like with most apps and modern phone calling over the Internet. Otherwise, Discord VCs are just not favourable for me to use and I rather switch to other apps, a different OS, to the Desktop Web version of Discord or I do not participate in them at all. Would be grateful if you changed this (And no, this is not related to my internet connection, both in terms of stability and speed.)
