Red ribbons are missing from channels with notifications

With notifications and ribbons enabled, most channels only make notification sound, but red ribbon wont appear.

This forces me to check all channels for activity manually.

Bug appears in both mobile and desktop version and is very long term.

One my friend also has identical issue.
