make overlay work with language specific characters (ex. ą, ł)

these characters are created on keyboards by holding right alt and pressing a letter (ex. for ą you hold right alt and press a) but the overlay has some funky shortcuts which mean whenever you try to make these letters it does something you don't want it to (for ą it removes the entire message's contents) whuch makes the overlay unusable for certain languages, like Polish in my example.
I suggest adding an option to disable these shortcuts to be able to use these letters
