Middle-click scrolling is unintuitive and confusing

I seem to be a minority in that I tend to use the middle-click scroll functionality in many programs, discord included, and how unintuitive it is in discord specifically really drills that home. Either that, or I'm stupid, because it took me several days to stumble upon how scrolling actually works in discord. Contrary to existing convention, where scrolling was based on focus, which is determined by click as in most other programs (windows, chrome, etc.), Or just setting the one you scroll on to the one you middle clicked on, Discord seems to change which pane you scroll up and down in, being either the main chat window or the user list, based on where you last scrolled with the mousewheel, which makes very little sense. It may just be broken, too, since it seems to completely ignore middle-click scrolling sometimes as well.
