Content Creation Service For Streamers!
As discord grows and keeps experimenting with these new features, it keeps growing more and more to a wider audience.
And before you say this is a bad idea and will just copy Twitch, just hear me out. As far-fetched as adding a whole streaming service into Discord sounds, Discord is already so involved with streamers that are on other platforms that this idea would really bring them a huge revenue and user boost. Stages, for example, have already taken a step to making Discord something closer to a streaming platform.
I've prepared a few reasons as to why I think this could be a really beneficial idea for everyone in the Discord community:
1) Streaming services are already so community based, that every single streamer you think of has a Discord server. If discord does plan to make a streaming service category, hundereds of thousands of these creators would be switch instantly to Discord's streaming service and would be able to grow their channel even more with a new streaming platform while Discord gains more revenue and engagement.
2) Stages have already set a basis on this idea, and prove how beneficial this could be to servers, content creators, members, and Discord. Stages have been a very successful idea on Discord's end, bringing in new engaged users into communities, it gave server owners the ability to grow servers insanely fast. Adding a streaming service into the mix is essentially the same thing, but opens a ton of new revenue opportunities and increases the engagement of users even more.
3) Discord is planning to add ideas taken from other streaming services like "Server Memberships." While these ideas do increase revenue, I don't see the issue in just adding it into a seperate content creation option instead. Things like ads, engagement, & donations just can't be matched from anywhere else than content creation. Streamers have the highest loyalty I've ever seen, and things like Server memberships wouldnt be nearly as beneficial as a streaming service would be.
4) Seeing as Discord wants to double their valuation as fast as possible, this is definitely something that could help them reach their goal. This idea could bring a HUGE revenue boost to discord, with ad revenue, subscribers, donations, and would also bring a completely new demographic into their reach, which could exponentially increase their user count.
If you want to watch your favorite streamer when you get pinged in their discord server, wouldn't you just want to be able to do everything in that discord? This even brings so many new opportunities for the viewers by being able to embed existing discord features into streams.
Everyone would benefit from this! Content creators would have a new and more convenient way to stream while their server grows automatically, new members would enjoy and engage more with watching someone rather than just listening to a podcast, & Discord would get massive benefits from every part of this idea through revenue boosts, engagement, and a new market of users to get!

I agree with this. This can also help both parties cause like if discord has their own streaming platform that goes all over the internet, they could bring new people into discord bringing them revenue. While on the streamers end, they also grow faster cause if they stream on multiple platforms at once, they bring in much more people to form a community. Idk if that makes sense but I hope you get the point.
