Threads Visibility
I've missed a lot of threads because I can't see them. The icon change is too subtle to notice the change for the first thread, and nonexistent for later threads after the first. (I initially submitted this as a support ticket, but support recommended I put it here. I didn't know about this place to post things like this before now.)
Option 1: An option in one's personal settings to automatically follow each thread that shoots off from a chat they haven't muted. This will make it visible in the UI and have a black dot (or white dot in dark mode) next to it showing that there are unread messages in it. (You'd still be able to opt-out from each thread individually.)
Option 2: Have the icon turn completely black (or white in dark mode) instead of gray when there's a new thread you haven't seen. The increase in contrast can catch the eye, and it's the same color as the "unread messages" dot.
Option 3: In addition to Option 2, put a number for how many unseen new threads have been created since you last looked. This one might be too much though, as there can already be a number there for @ notifications & we don't want to overclutter the UI.
Option 4: Something else. There are probably plenty more ways to make these threads actually visible. I just want to notice them when I even glance in the general direction of a server, like I do for unread message notifications. Right now I don't see them at all & I miss a lot of threads that appear.
Thank you!
