muting people without blocking them

I’m always getting annoyed at people who spam ping @here or @everyone since that certain person spams it a lot but I still want to get the ping when someone who isnt that person does it and I dont want to block that person so maybe a mute X person feature would be good?

    Muting and blocking are very different grades of response in a public setting. Discord needs better gradiation for this matter. It just caused problems for me today because someone I hold no animosity towards I had blocked for purposes pertaining to their broadcasting in public channels noticed that I blocked them. It's a serious PITA.
