Images with no extension will not embed in chat
If you upload a photo without an extension, like this one, discord will not recognize it as an image.
(this weird photo is the only one i could find at the time for an example)
This is all discord does with it.
No other app that i've used has had this issue and always recognizes extensionless images, like other social media or mobile photo applications, so i'd like to request that discord gets support for these images.

Ryxes Nex clearly you arent aware of the simple applications at hand
while yes, you can just add an extension, the point is convenience. most of the time when you download extensionless images, they are on mobile which makes adding an extension a pain because you need to create a whole copy of the image.
people are asking for the same type of support for .jfif images

allow to embed any file without extension could open a vulnerability cause any file can say "hi i'm an image" without beeing it
