Over cooking the chat UI

Hey, The information architecture of your chat is trying to say too much at once visually. There is too much emphasis on the posters name and time stamp and is causing too much disruption to the messages posted especially with all the visual variances in the message types you accomodate. It makes the user have to concentrate too much to use your chat rather than just letting them focus on the messages, this is emphasised more when also considering accessibility.

    Might be something you've already looked at, but: Settings cog > Appearance > Message Display (try whatever isn't selected.) It's not perfect but it helps.
