how do I make non https:// links clickable?

Hi! I recently saw how some had clickable non https / http links in their about me. It looked a bit like this:

click to open Spotify: spotify://open

click to open Notes: notes://open

And they would open the application. (This only worked on mac as far as I recall.) But when I put these links into the about me section, they don't turn into hyperlinks, meaning I can't click them. Does anyone know how to make them clickable?
