Can't paste images into channels in the desktop app anymore

When I wanted to share images fast in the past it was enough to copy them or the screencaps and hit paste in the text field but this doesn't work anymore. I have to download pictures to my computer then upload in the app with the plus icon, which is terribly time consuming.

    I've had the same issue for about a week now, thought it was just me, glad to see it isn't!

    This happens to particular individuals and discord has had 3 years to solve it and hasn't.  Started happening to me about a year ago and it's annoying.  I wonder if they're working with the gov't to make sure your images must land on your HD before you upload them into chat.  One could use the buffer and special images to communicate in a way that AI can't track or translate.  I've tried all the suggesting.  Uninstalled and re-installed discord.  It doesn't care. . . .
