DND Status with giving exceptions

Can you guys make an update to the DND status where you can select exceptions from who you can hear notifications? Because my stupid friend is always on DND and he wants to talk with me yet he cannot hear the notification due to the DND status and he is too lazy to check from once in a while and it annoys me.
