*** NEW FEATURE REQUEST *** service-wide blacklisting of malicious domains
Malicious links that steal Discord accounts (along with countless other types of dangerous links) are a major problem.
Lately, I've been dealing with various accounts PMing my community with fake nitro subscription links. For those that fall for it, their discord login details are stolen.
Right now, server managers are helpless to block these types of scams because they happen in PMs.
I'm requesting that Discord implement a service-wide filter for certain domains that are known to be malicious. Not a global swear filter but just something that detects and blocks website links known by the Discord developers to be dangerous. This could help greatly in preventing instances of people being hacked and/or losing login details.
In addition, it could be possible to use this system to detect the malicious accounts that post these scams, making it far easier for the Discord company's staff to deal with them.

this is a great idea but couldnt the system be easily avoided by links being covered, or being a website that auto redirects you to the malicious website?

Masonry people aren't gonna click on a random sketchy link, the reason people fall for the discord scam links is that they look like official discord links. That's the sum of it, by simply creating a database of blacklisted sites that support members could add to when one gets reported... would save a whole lot of trouble. At least that's my personal opinion.

A whitelist for approved websites could also be a good option, personally I would love it if they added an option to block DMs that contain links (from server members) so that only people you trust can send you links through DMs.
