Joining an archived thread

It is impossible for a new member to join an archived thread.
It is annoying when you think about a thread as a fixed conversation where people can ask questions relative to a specific subject.

Please, let people join a thread when archived (allowing them to unarchive the thread).

    That completely ruins the point of archiving something though. If what they need isn’t in the thread, they can start a new one

    I am using my threads to organise events. People are not forced to join the conversation right now nor to write on it everyday. They can do it when needed.

    Having the threads to be archived automatically is one thing but not being able to join it afterward is abnormal.

    This feature looks like a topic in a forum but can't be consomized the same way. It is problematic.
