Strange behavior with screen share on chrome

For the past few months, I notice when sharing my screen on the computer, whenever I share my chrome application and hover over a link (ex. hovering over chrome bookmarks) the people-watching my screen suddenly only see the tooltip for that link as if it was zoomed in. When I take my mouse off the link the tooltip goes away like normal and then there is a delay and it says "stream paused" and then it goes back to streaming chrome normally, but sometimes the stream closes itself.

Is there any way to fix this?
