Integration of cryptocurrency with the Discord platform

I'm currently a single parent who, due to both the pandemic and location I live, am in great need of a platform like Discord to keep in touch with my support platform. I've gifted friends and family Nitro before and use it myself because I wanted to support this company and platform. I understand that a company needs to make money for its services, and I wholly agree that Discord deserves more money than they probably make. 

However.

Part of why I'm in the situation I am where I need Discord so much is due, in part, to our current global climate crisis. NFTs/the blockchain/related things have an absolutely horrifying environmental impact. When I found out, I swore I'd have to do all I could to not support companies that jumped onto it, even if I found them essential. 

I don't want to come off as rude, abusive, or harassing, but I cannot support this company in good conscience if you decide to move forward with this. There must be thousands like me, hopefully, more who would do the same. I've already cancelled my Nitro, despite how useful it is and how much I've *wanted* to support this company. I can't abide by Discord, which owes so much of its more recent boom in userbase to the pandemic, to contribute to factors that created the pandemic, to begin with. It's a reprehensible action to take, and while I knew some companies I supported would make the decision to jump on board, I never thought that Discord would. The idea of what I thought was a morally-upstanding company (or as much as a 'company' can be, I suppose) jumping on something so dangerous to the world itself, and everyone in it? The stuff of actual nightmares. 

Please, please reconsider. You don't need this to grow in popularity.
