I met my partner on discord, don't make me leave by implementing crypto BS

I met my partner of 6 years on discord, I have so much emotional investment and history stored on its servers. I use the platform hourly and I couldn't imagine my life without it. Even with all of that, if crypto BS is integrated then I will have no choice but to cancel my subscription and find a new service. Crypto and NFTs are such an ethical hell that I could not in good conscious stay on the platform.

    also, there are many free and open source alternatives to discord (some maybe better?), ok u can leave now

    The ethical hell is megacorporations profiteering off the backs of people using their platforms for "free". Facebook, twitter, zuck, are scared because they don't own this platform. Please don't side with them.

    @Erin I am starting to back up my logs and look at alternatives, but I'd prefer not to leave something I've invested so much into.

    Jeeves what on earth are you talking about. I hate all those corps too, but crypto sure isn't the answer.
