I've been using Discord for almost 5 years now but I've cancelled my Nitro subscription and will be urging everyone I know to get off Discord and use alternatives if this bullshit continues. I literally just wanted a functional chat app that doesn't get involved in money laundering ponzi schemes and apparently that's too much to ask for.
