Stop implementing Ethereum and NFTs —Formerly Loyal Nitro User for 3 Years

I love using Discord. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars supporting Discord through nitro and paid boosts. I’m constantly convincing my friends to pay for the higher tier Nitro each month so we can share emojis and boost servers. I’ve convinced at least 7 friends to have over a year’s worth of loyal Nitro subs. Unfortunately, if these Ethereum and NFT integration plans go through, I will be ceasing all of this and will convince many of my servers to move elsewhere. I am not alone — I know over 30 people personally, who I speak to every week, who are also going to cancel if this change goes through. Furthermore, it shows an extreme lack of professionalism and reflects horribly on Discord as a company that their CEO would “tease” a highly controversial move without even informing all of his active employees about such a move.

    Totally agree here, if this goes through all my friends and I will be moving to line group chats (they have custom emoji and stickers). NFTs are such a waste of money and resources.
