Please do not integrate crypto/NFTs.

I've been using Discord for years now, and it has been my preferred messenger since I started using it. However, with the information that Discord will soon be adding integration for crypto/NFTs, I can confidently say I will not be paying any money towards Nitro for myself or anyone else, and I will consider leaving the platform.

It doesn't matter if Discord won't be minting or selling any of its own (since as of now there is only a plan to integrate them), integrating still says that you as a company do not care about the impact both NFTs and crypto are having on our planet via the impact they have on our climate, and on our communities with the scamming, fraud, laundering, and rampant theft from artists that follow their usage. (And on the gaming community you built your service on the backs of, as the upsurge in both was a direct cause of the parts shortage that has prevented people from being able to build, replace parts, or upgrade gaming rigs.)  It says that you see nothing wrong with these huge issues, and are willing to throw away your reputation and user-base for a small fraction of people who support them.

It's really sad to see the service so many of us have enjoyed and loved decide to do this, and I, and many others, ask you to abandon these plans.
