Event Scheduler Feedback
I've seen a handful of suggestions about this already, but just to emphasise and put this at the top of the list to help make the scheduler better;
1. The ability to be specific to a role:
Our community has a few different sub communities with it, they'd like the ability to schedule events for their group without it being displayed to the entire discord, similar to threads.
2. The option for the client to hide the event panel from the sidebar:
Just a simple close button to hide the event(s) that are active at the time. Again, sub communities might have overlapping events and it clutters our side bar. Even if you have to register a response before closing it, but that's forcing peoples hand a bit.
3. Recurring events:
Our community has multiple scheduled events at set times every week, being able to create a recurring one would cut down on a bit of double handling for us in that regard.
Love the feature so far, but would love to see it progress to be a bit more robust as well!

I wasnt sure where to post my feedback so Ill tack it on to yours. So I wrote a discord event bot a couple years back for our server to use for game nights, we were hoping this feature would be able to replace it but so far its really lacking. Id love to see many of the same features, so what its missing is:
1) Like you said above, be able to specify roles for an event
2) Actual event notifications for everyone interested. It seems to me events will currently notify interested people, however the notification is silent an easily missed by just about everyone unless they are sitting at their PC and see the popup within the brief window it shows up. The notification should have some sort of sound or way to stick around (which if its based on roles just doing a notification to the role works well enough)
3) The host shouldnt need to start it. A host may forget the event time or any other reason not be there to start it, so the host should get notified along with everyone else and just make the event joinable (or have some way to toggle events as 'open' by default if you want to restrict starting)
The major issues for us are just the real lack of notification especially based on roles and that a host HAS to start the event, for things like game nights a host shouldnt have to be around to start it and may not even show up
