REQUEST: Unread message counters for inbox

I'm not sure why Discord is missing such a basic and simple feature of every other messaging program but I would ask the devs to please consider implementing this.  Ideally there would be two numbers next to the inbox icon, either in different colors or on differently colored background squares.  One would show the number of unread direct messages and the other the total number of unread channel & server messages.  The format could be "DM: #" and "#", with the second being the non-DM communications.  The user would also have an option to disable these counters independently.  Once the the last line of a message had been viewed by the user the message would be considered as having been read.  Only new messages that were not visible while Discord was in the foreground would count as "unread".
