Mobile - Threads Discovery Button

At some point there was a mobile update so that a “Threads Discovery Button” (hashtag with a chat bubble) would always be present in Direct Messages. I have a small phone, and this new button takes up so much more space than before that I can only see ONE letter of the name of ANY person I’m messaging! Even more annoyingly, I have no active threads with any of them, so the button is completely useless to me. Fair enough that I will still know who I am talking to, but it’s also nice to see at least part of the name at the top of the screen... Thus, please make it an option to disable this button, or even make the taskbar on top customizable. That would be great!
