Hide Text Messages

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this has been posted recently, if at all, but I have a friend that loves to post photos in text chat, and occasionally he'll post something like a spider, or other images that some users may have fears of. As a result I think a way to "hide" a message in a text chat, without blocking the user, would be beneficial. Right click, and click "hide message" and it will disappear with a small message showing it's hidden, similar to blocked messages, until you right click again to "unhide." Essentially, the same thing blocked messages do, except without the block.

 

Opinions? Hope this is taken into consideration!

    I upvoted the suggestion. Until implemented you can ask the poster to put spoilers tags around it.

    Some advanced bot can delete the original message and repost using the op pfp and user name but a bot tag and a different descriminator allows observant viewers to notice. Also for the message to remain in sequence this has to be done before any other posts

    Plus a keyboard combo to hide the last posted image in the current channel.
